THE M.A.R.C. PROGRAM
Men Advocating Responsible Conduct (MARC) is a group of male students at the Florida State University who seek to educate their male peers concerning the importance of appropriate and responsible behavior.
The Mission of MARC is to raise awareness about the socialization of men and the cultural issues of sexism and gender violence. Through advocacy, education and training we are committed to creating a campus culture in which gender equality and respect prevail.
Along with prevention, the MARC program, in conjunction with the Victim Advocate Program at FSU, provides individual and group intervention for male students who are either primary or secondary victims of sexual violence.
Members of MARC include undergraduate and graduate men of Florida State University who demonstrate strong leadership skills and who exhibit a sincere interest in addressing issues such as sexual assault on college campuses. If you are interested in becoming a member of MARC, simply fill out and submit the application form and meet with the coordinator for an informal interview. Once you are a member, wear your MARC pin on Wednesdays to show your support of the end of sexual violence.
